Review
Canticle starts off really strong. I like the world building and early characters. Brother Francis and the first abbot are great. However as the book progresses and the cast of characters changes I have a harder time finding a connection to them. I do really like science fiction that explores religion and it's role in the future. From that angle I think the books mostly succeeds but not spectacularly. All in all I'm glad I read the book but I didn't love it. It had some interesting parts but ended up a bit too scattered.
