Review
Holy shit, Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run more than lives up to the hype. It's amazing. It's an exciting, fun read while really experimenting in story telling in comics. It pretty much refuses to tell anything in chronological order and has a bunch of issues built around an unusual story telling device. The art is also fantastic and I think Aja did a great job with it. However the best part of the run, without a doubt is Hollingsworth's colors. The ombinus has a section where it lays out tumbnails of panels and has him talk about his process and it really highlights how well the colors work. Each issue relies on a handful of tones. The shades are muted but the colors are bold with yellows, reds, and purples featuring heavily. The visual continuity created by all of this is amazing. so yeah, pretty good.
